New Text Features in Photoshop CS6

This tutorial  will show new text features in Photoshop CS6 that will make working round with texts easier than ever.

Take the Horizontal Type tool and select an area where you’d wish to have the text.

The first new text feature is that Photoshop has now its own Lorem Ipsum text. A dummy text that is put for holding a place for the real text. Widely used by designers. To access that, just go to Type > Paste Lorem ipsum.

The next big thing and a very useful text feature is Paragraph Style. Where you can add a new style, change the current and eventually one-click change between different text styles.

When you double click the first style, then a new window will open. There you will find all the possible text styles. It has a live preview. Change the letters to all caps, change the font, size and so on. Then, when pressing OK, Photoshop will save that as a new text style.

You can also create straight from the panel a new text style. Later on, when you have more of them, you can just switch between them by just one click. And with that one click all can change – font, size, color, alignment and so on – with just ONE click.

To return your text back to how it was originally created, just press the button with round arrow.
